4th Grade - Storytelling with Stop Motion Animation
In this unit, students explored the theme of “storytelling” through stop motion animation. The class discussed how they could communicate story through their sculptures and movie making. Working in groups or on their own, students planned and built movie sets using art materials, toys, and recycled materials. Using the Stop Motion Studio app, they created short films that effectively communicated their stories. They reflected on how the artistic choices they made throughout the building and filming process impacted how viewers experienced their artwork.
